Ask one hundred horse people to name the best equestrian areas in America and chances are you’d get one hundred different answers. Are you looking for warm weather or four distinct seasons? Culture, fine dining and easy access to an urban center, or a quiet, rural retreat?

The editors of Equestrian Quarterly magazine analyzed these categories and more, as well as an area’s overall “horsiness,” and developed the LuxeList of America’s Best Horse Areas.

So here are the winners. But there can be no one winner. All twenty are unique and special in their own way. Therefore the LuxeList is arranged alphabetically.

Your suggestions for communities to consider adding are welcome. Please click the “Contact” link at the bottom of the page and let us know your thoughts.
